THE ROLE
At Heartwood Community School, we celebrate the incredible superpower of multilingualism and are committed to ensuring all studentsregardless of life circumstancescan and will succeed. As a Multilingual Learner Teacher , you will play a vital role in supporting our growing multilingual learner population by diagnosing, planning, and delivering high-quality, targeted instruction. You will provide expert guidance to classroom teachers, design and implement intensive language acquisition instruction, and ensure compliance with state and district requirements. This position is ideal for a mission-driven educator passionate about language development, collaboration, and achieving exceptional outcomes for students.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Apply deep knowledge of pedagogy, language acquisition, and cultural understanding to support multilingual learners in listening, reading, writing, and speaking English.
- Create robust, outcome-driven intervention plans that scaffold learning to maximize student growth, incorporating engaging and rigorous lesson plans.
- Administer assessments to monitor student progress, analyze data to inform instruction, and effectively communicate progress to students, families, and school leaders.
- Collaborate with classroom teachers to support multilingual learners in the general education setting.
- Develop and oversee compliance with Multilingual Learner accommodation plans and maintain required district and state documentation.
- Administer ACCESS testing for eligible students.
- Deliver high-quality small group instruction tailored to meet the needs of multilingual learners.
- Design and lead professional development sessions to educate staff on best practices for supporting multilingual students.
- Contribute to a positive school-wide culture by engaging with families and participating in school events, traditions, and community-building opportunities.

EDUCATION
COMPENSATION
The salary for this role is $80,000, with eligibility for a relocation package. To uphold our commitment to equitable and fair compensation, we offer a competitive salary and have a no-negotiation policy.
