Position Overview
The Lead Prescreen Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Prescreen Team and providing leadership and support to Prescreen Coordinators to ensure that as many patients as possible are scheduled to screen in enrolling studies.

The Lead Prescreen Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Prescreen Team and providing leadership and support to Prescreen Coordinators to ensure that as many patients as possible are scheduled to screen in enrolling studies.
Responsibilities
- Lead the Prescreening Team to achieve screening goals to support the growth and success of the site and ensure exceptional prescreen conversion for all studies.
- Work closely with supervisor to determine department strategy, ensuring prescreens are converted into study specific screens at a high rate and in a timely manner.
- Track prescreening metrics and provide routine updates to supervisor and team members.
- Regularly shadow prescreening visits to maintain quality and consistency standards; provide routine coaching and feedback to team members to elevate individual and team performance.
- Discuss goals, metrics, and patients requiring follow-up with the Prescreening Team daily.
- Assist with overflow prescreens, community prescreening efforts, and day-to-day activities.
- Provide excellent patient care and customer service; manage escalated situations with professionalism, empathy, and patience and work to develop appropriate resolutions.
- Think broadly and maintain a working knowledge of all actively enrolling and upcoming indications and trials.
- Provide feedback to Recruitment Teams regarding call scripts and other communications.
- Identify, prioritize, and communicate issues that need to be addressed by management.
- Ensure the company’s core values are known and continually practiced by the Prescreening Team.
- Develop and maintain positive and effective working relationships with all Charter Research team members.
- Ensure the Prescreening Team adheres to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Display agility in handling multiple tasks simultaneously and adapting to changes in responsibilities and workloads.
- Must possess a high degree of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality within HIPAA guidelines regarding patient matters and other sensitive information.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- CCRC, CCRP, or ACRP-CP (or equivalent) professional certification preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Typically, 3-5 years relevant experience or 2 years of relevant experience in clinical research.
- Prior management experience preferred.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
