Position Overview
The Physician Partnerships Manager supports their site’s growth by ensuring a strong and growing number of monthly screens from physician partners. This leader builds lasting relationships with local physicians, oversees the daily operations of the Physician Partnerships Team, and ensures the team’s performance in identifying, recruiting, pre-screening, and scheduling participants for screens in currently enrolling clinical trials.

Responsibilities
- Manage relationships with physicians.
- Manage relationships with physician practices and healthcare organizations that have databases of potential study participants and can provide referrals to research.
- Meet and communicate regularly with physician partners to review documentation and metrics, answer questions, resolve operational challenges, provide support materials, and take any necessary additional steps to facilitate greater patient engagement and increase study enrollment.
- Oversee the Physician Partnerships Team.
- Provide daily guidance to team members to work effectively with patients and physician partners to engage large numbers of patients in screening for research studies.
- Ensure all team members maintain strong working knowledge of all actively enrolling and upcoming studies and think broadly about potential patient fit.
- Ensure all team members initiate communication quickly and professionally with patients and physicians, follow internal processes for proper documentation, and meet or exceed monthly goals for scheduling screens.
- Work with the team to maintain quality and consistency standards and provide coaching and feedback to team members to elevate individual and team performance.
- Maintain and utilize metrics to drive performance.
- Ensure the proper collection of data to enable accurate metrics and reporting.
- Utilize metrics to identify opportunities for performance improvements and implement changes to improve results. Focus particularly on number of screens by team member and physician partner and implement operational adjustments to achieve screening goals.
- Grow the team’s performance.
- Increase the team’s total monthly screens by coaching team members and improving operations with physicians and by adding new team members and physician partners.
- Identify potential new physician partnerships that align with the company’s strategic priorities and therapeutic areas. Then initiate and engage in communication with potential partners to discuss and establish referral relationships and partnership contracts.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Education
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- 2 years of relevant experience in clinical research or 3-5 years of relevant, translatable experience in another industry required.
- Working knowledge of medical terminology required.
- Prior management experience strongly preferred.
- Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred (at Orlando location only).
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
