REPORTS TO: CFO
WAGE/HOUR STATUS: Exempt/11 month
SALARY RANGE: $75,000 - $80,000

Job Summary
Charter School for Applied Technologies is seeking an experienced Human Resources professional to work collaboratively within our innovative environment. The ideal candidate will possess a skillset necessary to invoke organizational effectiveness and ensure consistent compliance to all facets of HR issues with unwavering ethics and integrity.
Key Responsibilities
Compliance / Risk Management
- Ensure legal compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations
- Maintain professional and technical knowledge on trends, legislative, and regulatory issues affecting HR programs
- Assurance and development of compliance policies, procedures, and required reporting
- Ensure adherence with collective bargaining agreements
- Ensure compliance with Fair Labor Standards Act
- Full oversight of in-house payroll processing
- High degree of knowledge required to perform records management, reporting, and claim processing for NYSDBL, Workers’ Compensation, Unemployment, Medical and Family Leave (inclusive of FMLA, ADA, PFL), EEO, OSHA, Retirement Systems
- Supervise a team of HR and Payroll personnel
- Collaborate with leadership team and employees on all operations involving human resources and payroll activities
- Assist with employee performance management – evaluations, improvement plans, effective feedback, policy creation and development
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources or related field
- A minimum of 7 years’ experience in a middle-level management role
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience with leave administration including disability, FMLA, PFL, and more.
- Comprehensive understanding of various employee benefits including health insurance, COBRA coverage, state retirement plans, and more.
- Ability to work independently and meet critical processing deadlines
