Regional Governing Authority Representative

This part-time, as needed, position will work closely with our internal teams who support our schools all over Ohio. As a Regional Governing Authority Representative, your role will be to serve as a school board liaison and represent the sponsor at assigned board meetings. Charter Schools in Ohio are public entities and as such, must follow Ohio law the same as any traditional public school district. Regional Governing Authority Representatives are responsible for providing updates to board members in a public meeting setting and record actions taken to preserve as a permanent record. This position is ideal for a former educator or someone who understands how public boards operate. Those with a strong understanding of Charter School Operations or Governance are also encouraged to apply. The position pays a stipend per meeting attended along with a mileage component. Successful candidates will also be expected to attend periodic staff meetings or other functions which are compensated at an hourly rate. Our current need is for qualified individuals in the SW and Central Ohio areas along with the Toledo, Akron and Cleveland areas of the state.
