Reporting to the Accounting Manager, the Fixed Asset Accountant will assist the accounting team with the monthly addition, deletion and review of our fixed assets and specific accounts to ensure our assets are in recorded in accordance with the capitalization policy of Charter Schools USA on a timely basis. Fixed Asset Accountant with also assist with the recording of our leases and reconciliation of our intercompany accounts.
How You Will Impact Education
- On a monthly basis ensure fixed assets are created and accurately maintained in the fixed asset system.
- Review specific accounts and ascertain if assets are properly recorded.
- Create journal entries to record depreciation and reclasses as appropriate.
- Assistant with gathering support and the preparation of amortization schedule for new leases.
- Assist with lease journal entries.
- On a monthly basis assist with the review and reconciliation of intercompany accounts.
- Shared Payroll / expenses
- Due to / From CSUSA
- Due to / from Other Schools
- Assist with ad hoc projects as needed.

Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting or related field. 1-3 years relevant accounting experience. Computer Basics MS Windows (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint); proficiency in accounting software. Commitment to company values. Such alternatives to the above requirements as CSUSA may find appropriate and acceptable.
May perform other duties as assigned.
