Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and Cook Meals : Prepare a variety of tasty and nutritious meals according to dietary guidelines and resident preferences.Food Safety & Cleanliness : Follow food safety guidelines to ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.Special Diets : Prepare special meals for residents with specific dietary needs, such as low-sodium, diabetic, vegetarian, or gluten-free options.Team Collaboration : Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth meal preparation and service while supporting a positive and respectful work environment.Qualifications :
Proven experience as a cook or in a similar role, ideally in a healthcare or senior living setting.Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices.Ability to follow recipes, adjust portion sizes, and prepare meals for large groups.Compassionate and caring attitude with a genuine desire to enhance the lives of seniors.Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.Ability to work in a fast-paced, organized environment.Optional : Certification in food safety, culinary arts, or a related field is a plus.]Why Charter Senior Living?
