What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cardiac Ultrasound Technologist - Roger Williams Medical Center position at CharterCARE Health Partners?
Summary: Under medical supervision performs two dimensional echocardiography, pulsed and continuous wave Doppler and color Doppler. Assist physician in performance of trans esophageal echocardiography and stress echocardiography.
Education: In addition to the skills normally obtained through completion of a High School education, and satisfactory completion of a cardiology technician training program or equivalent experience of two years. In addition, echocardiographic registration is highly recommended.
Experience: At least two years’ experience in the field of echocardiographic procedures.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Clean, well-equipped lab. Must be able to assist patients from wheel chairs to stretcher and then back to chair (not to exceed 150lbs). Sometimes needs to physically position patient on the stretcher. Time Schedule: 8:30-2:30, Monday through Friday, one holiday per year. Meets all safety requirements associated with the Medical Center.
