Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is typically preferred, but relevant work experience can also be considered.
Experience: Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) are advantageous. Experience with server operating systems, such as Windows Server, Lunix, and Unix.
Skills and Abilities: Proficient in server administration, including installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of server hardware and software. Experience with server virtualization technologies, such as VMware or Hyper-V. Knowledge of server security principles and experience implementing security measures. Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery practices and technologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve server-related issues. Experience with server monitoring tools to proactively identify and address performance or availability problems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with IT teams and end-users. Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Normal office setting. Attends all related safety training and all other training programs as required by outside regulatory agencies and/or audits. Rectifies any specific job-related hazards for all areas of responsibility through appropriate measures. Stands, walks, and lifts (medium to heavy weights) most of the day. Required long periods of visually examining documents and viewing computer screens. Key responsibilities include the support of mission critical 24 x 7 clinical systems infrastructure.
