Position Summary
Chartered is actively seeking a dynamic and experienced Full-Time Multifamily Construction Trim Carpenter to support construction activities on one or more of its large-scale multifamily projects located in Broomfield, Erie, and Longmont, Colorado by performing complex, skilled carpentry tasks of finish carpentry, including working with specialty tools and equipment in support of the project and other skilled trades / crafts work. Trim Carpenters utilize a variety of tools and specialized equipment. This role will report directly to the Specialty Trade, Foreman, working in close coordination with the Superintendent and Project Manager. This presents a fantastic opportunity for anyone looking to hone specialty carpentry skills and garner experience in building transformative projects and communities along the Front Range.
Construction Activities
- Work with tools to complete specific assigned tasks on a project.
- Show up and is ready to work when scheduled and adheres to behavioral standards :
- Communicate absence or tardiness with supervisor as early as possible
- Track and report units and labor hours, including filling out and submitting timecards.
- Understand and maintain established quality levels associated with duties.
- Maintain knowledge of all carpentry hand tools.
- Maintain basic understanding and use of principles of layout and construction math as necessary per project needs.
- Demonstrated proficiency with the basic elements of framing or forming.
- Installation of in-wall and roof blocking / general carpentry.
- Installation of safety railings, floor openings and general safety items.
- Installation of temporary partitions and doors.
- Assist in the installation of doors, frames and hardware.
- Demonstrated proficiency in finish carpentry skills :
Installation of casework and countertops.

Chartered runs a small, family-oriented office, so a “Yes” attitude is vital to success in this role. This position is full-time and located at one of Chartered’s construction field offices. Work is required to be performed in-person at the applicable field office and project job site. This is not a remote position. There may be periods of extended work hours as well as stressful periods of work that require flexibility and patience. Candidates must be able to receive direction as well as be able to communicate and give clear, consistent instruction and / or feedback to others. This is a big position where there is no task too small. All employees wear multiple hats, which keeps everyday new and exciting.
