Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for a Vice President of Sales & Marketing at ChartRequest. The role will involve overseeing sales, account management, sales operations, sales management, and business development activities. Based in or near Atlanta, GA. Quarterly in-person meetings at a minimum, office options available at our Sandy Springs offices.

Primary Responsibilities:
Marketing Focus:
- Content Strategy and Syndication: Leverage our existing team of copywriters to create healthcare-focused content, including guides, thought leadership pieces, and other assets for the website, social media, and general use. Ensure a consistent and impactful voice across all channels to drive brand recognition and lead generation.
- Paid Search: Ensure that content and the website are easy to find, SEO-optimized, and structured to convert clicks into leads that become demos. Utilize HubSpot to manage and optimize the marketing funnel from first impression to closed deals, including building pipelines, scoring leads, and identifying strengths and weaknesses at each stage of the funnel. Provide clear, data-driven reports to guide continuous improvement.
- Reporting and Funnel Optimization: Report on lead generation and scoring, content performance (ROAS/ROI), and pipeline effectiveness. Identify gaps in the funnel and develop strategies to address them. Build and maintain an accurate system for calculating and improving customer acquisition cost (CAC).
- Conferences: Manage and refine conference participation processes to maximize ROI. Responsibilities include identifying and prioritizing the right conferences to attend, ensuring trade show displays are well-suited and timely, capturing leads in a usable format, and managing budgets effectively to deliver strong outcomes.
- Budget and Finance Management: Oversee marketing-related budgets, including ad spend, payroll, promotional spend, conference expenses, and other financial resources. Ensure efficient allocation and tracking to maximize ROI while staying within financial constraints.
Sales Focus:
- Outreach Program for Medical Practices: Develop and execute a focused program to engage medical practices entering the platform. Ensure consistent outreach to explain ChartRequest’s services, build value, and close deals efficiently.
- Legal Client Engagement: Establish a dedicated effort to reach out to legal clients on the retrieval side of the business. This includes leveraging the high volume of leads generated for legal and medical clients, turning them into actionable sales opportunities.
- Pricing Strategy and Communication: Oversee the development and refinement of the company’s pricing strategy, ensuring it aligns with market expectations and business goals. Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure clear and effective communication of pricing to clients.
- Enterprise Sales Strategy: Build a long-term strategy for enterprise sales targeting hospital groups and healthcare payers. Develop scalable approaches to meet the needs of larger clients and complex organizational structures.
- Sales Administration and Operations: Manage the sales administration and operations functions, including:
- Creating and maintaining robust reporting tools to track sales performance and trends.
- Ensuring smooth hand-offs between sales, client services, and finance.
- Establishing efficient systems for tracking and managing sales commissions, ensuring clarity and fairness for sales team members.
Sales and Marketing Direct/Indirect Reports:
- Content Manager: Responsible for quarterly content planning, creation, editorial approval, publication, and activity/result reporting.
- Marketing Ops Lead: Liaises between Marketing and Sales, focusing on analytics, HubSpot operations, conference coordination, and email list management.
- Webmaster: Manages the website, intranet, and knowledge base, ensuring alignment with marketing strategies.
- Content Copywriter: Creates content for newsletters, social media, and the website.
- Enterprise Sales Director: Focuses on national accounts and supports Regional Sales Directors and BDR teams.
- Regional Sales Director/Account Executive: Targets group practices and SMBs while assisting with enterprise/hospital sales in their territory.
- BDR Manager: Leads and trains BDRs, manages reporting, and coordinates with Marketing Ops on conference planning and execution.
- Business Development Representatives: Handles inbound lead triage and collaborates with Account Executives to close deals.

- HubSpot expertise, including building pipelines, lead scoring, managing the full sales funnel, and using reporting to identify gaps.

- Strategic thinking paired with attention to operational details, ensuring high-quality execution across all initiatives.
This role will play a critical part in driving ChartRequest’s growth by aligning marketing and sales efforts, optimizing processes, and building long-term strategies for success in healthcare and legal markets.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA preferred.
- 10 years of experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, preferably within the ChartRequest healthcare sector.
- 5 years of experience with Hubspot and data-driven sales processes.
- Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
- Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, capable of identifying market opportunities and translating them into actionable plans.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with a focus on mentorship and development of sales and marketing talent.
- High-level attention to detail and organization with a pragmatic approach to problem-solving and prioritization.
- Ability to travel up to 50% conferences and prospective clients.
- Familiarity with Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS), LVL10 Meetings, and Rock Setting is preferred.
Compensation. This role is a management role with quarterly incentive compensation plan performance bonuses. The base compensation will be between $150,000 - $175,000 with On Target Earnings between $300,000 - $350,000 depending on leadership and management experience. Prior sales and marketing leadership and management experience is a requirement for this role.
