TITLE: Maintenance Manager
JOB SUMMARY:
Responsibilities include providing pro-active administrative and technical leadership to facility and equipment maintenance teams. Fosters innovation and executes maintenance strategies to meet strategic business objectives and regulatory compliance including preventative maintenance.
This position will manage technical and custodial staff.
· Plans organizes and directs the Maintenance activities and programs relating to the improvement of the manufacturing operation, including the evaluation and purchase of new equipment, improvement and modification/renovation of existing equipment processes and facilities.
· Directs and approves maintenance activities to ensure the maintenance of Company facilities in a manner consistent with established long- and short-term objectives.
· Develops maintenance programs (PM, Work Order System, etc.)
· Assure compliance with all governmental, state, and local regulations.
· Assures the participation of Maintenance in the selection, testing and evaluation of new processes and equipment. provides assistance and Maintenance expertise in the start-up and validation of systems and equipment.
· Identifies facilities projects, develops project scope, prepares preliminary estimates, refines project scope, and directs and installation of projects completed in-house. Assists in the development of layouts for processing, warehousing operations, plant utilities and other facilities as required.
· Assists with the selection, purchase and installation of new equipment, modification of existing equipment, and the removal and disposition of obsolete equipment.
· Maintains accurate working knowledge of governmental/regulatory requirements as related to equipment including EPA, OSHA, and the FDA. Monitors and ensures company compliance with regulatory standards. Accompanies agency representative or inspector as required. Responds to infractions.
· Training and coaching other mechanics where possible.
· Assist in CGMP investigations and notice of events.
· Revises and writes SOP’s and other procedures as necessary.
· Manages outside contractors for maintenance and repairs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· BS degree in Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 or more years of experience in a Pharmaceutical or Consumer Products Manufacturing environment.
