Job Summary
Chartwells at St. Louis Public Schools & Ashley Community Schools located in St. Louis & Ashley, MI, is on the hunt for a dynamic Director of Dining Services to lead our food service team across 2 school districts with a total of 5 schools, serving 180 1100 students with passion and precision. If you have a knack for P&L oversite, creating mouth-watering menus that will entice student participation, and driving initiatives with a client-focused and detail-oriented approach, this is your chance to shine!
In this role, you'll be at the forefront of driving change and innovation, committed to growing our dining program to new heights. With a supportive team that includes a total of 14 hourly associates, you will bring your bright personality and willingness to jump in and become a part of an inspiring culture while ensuring compliance and following the NSLP guidelines.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire our team of up to 14 Chartwells frontline associates.
- Drive strategic initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and increase profitability.
- Recruit, train, and develop top talent within the organization.
- Oversees the annual budget and control costs.
- Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Build strong relationships with clients, customers, and associates.
- Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of a dining service operation.
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Food Services/Management/Hospitality/Culinary/Nutrition necessary or equivalent experience.**
- Three plus years of foodservice management experience, prefers K12.
- Knowledge of high-volume food production is preferred.
- Previous P&L accountability or contract-managed services experience.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer skills.
