Qualifications :
Education / Experience : Previous call center, receptionist and / or Medical Assistant / Dental
Assistant / Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
Medical Assistants : Completion of medical assistant training through a post-secondary school or college program accredited by the Accrediting Bureau of Health Education School (ABHES) or the Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) required. Certification through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistants (CCMA) required within 120 days of hire.
Pharmacy Technicians : Completion of pharmacy technician program required. Technician level A license required. Previous experience with electronic health records preferred.
Dental Assistant : Completion of dental assistant program preferred.
Skills :
All : Excellent interpersonal, oral, written, and listening skills; basic computer skills; fluency in Spanish and / or Russian in addition to English preferred. Compassion for patients required. Must work well within the team. Computer skills required. Familiarity with call center metrics preferred. Medical Assistants : BLS (CPR / AED) certified for a Health Care Provider. Must be able to correctly use and spell medical terminology. Commitment to supporting a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive environment required. Valid driver's license and insurance required.
Physical Demands :
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear and sit. The employee is occasionally required to move around the facility; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms. Infrequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and infrequently lift and / or move up to 25 lbs.
