Base Salary Range: $20.38 - $29.06 USD hourly.
Salary is determined based on applicable experience and education. External offers typically do not exceed the mid-point of the pay range.

Purpose of Job:
Improve the overall health of the communities we serve by assisting the Pharmacist in providing customer service to patients as follows:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides prompt and friendly customer service to patients both in-person and over the phone, addressing their inquiries and relaying appropriate information to the pharmacy team.
- Efficiently operates the point-of-sale system to process transactions, collect co-payment, and reconcile daily transactions as directed.
- Assists in verifying patient demographics, collecting insurance information, and processing electronic documents in the electronic health records system.
- Performs various administrative task such as filing, copying, mailing, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Delivers medications to patients and clinics as needed, in accordance with delivery schedule and in varying weather conditions.
- Monitors and maintains appropriate temperature controls in the pharmacy and during transportation to ensure medication stability.
- Assists with receiving, restocking, and organizing medications and supplies.
- Performs other duties assigned, including supporting the CHAS Health Mission and Core Values.
Qualifications:
: Must have, or be eligible to obtain, a Pharmacy Assistant Registration issued by the state Department of Health. HS diploma or equivalent preferred. Telephone and customer service skills preferred.
: Computer skills required. Ability to learn new software and other office tools required. Ability to spell accurately required. Ability to clearly communicate information to patients and gather information from patients required. Basic math skills and ability to calculate patient payments required. Valid drivers’ license and insurance required. Commitment to supporting a safe, respectful, equitable, and inclusive environment required.
Physical Demands:
Must be able to move around the facility between one-third and two-thirds of the day, as well as sit at a workstation and in patient rooms. Using hands occurs over two-thirds of the day, while reaching with arms occurs less than one-third of the day. Communicating is also required over two-thirds of the day, while climbing, stooping, or crawling is minimal. Lifting up to 10 lbs. occurs about half the time, while lifting between 25-40 pounds occurs one-third of the time. Rarely is there a need to life more than 41 pounds.
