Driver

JOB SUMMARY: This part-time morning position is responsible for using the Chase Brexton van to pick up food from a variety of locations and deliver food to Chase Brexton pantries including the Mt. Vernon, Columbia, Security Square, and Glen Burnie Centers. The driver will go to the food location, load food into the van, deliver to location and unload to the designated pantry. The driver will be required to complete driver training prior to use of the van.

Major Duties And Responsibilities

Planning and Organizing

• Picking up food in the mornings (sometimes 7:30 am)
• Delivering to pantries at Chase Brexton locations. Must be a skilled driver with a clean driving record and valid driver’s license.
• Load and unload cargo van with food supplies
• Maintain on time arrivals and attendance
  
  

Checking, Examining, and Recording

• Keep accurate records of food picked up and turn in food logs weekly.
  
  

Skills And Abilities

• Must able to confidently drive an oversized cargo van.
• Driver must complete driver assessment training and testing, have a valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
• Must be able to lift 70 lbs.
• Must be able to read and write.
  
  

Education And/Or Experience

• Preferred: High School degree or GED
  
  

Working Conditions/Physical Demands

• Driver must be able to load and unload up to 70 lb. boxes.
