Role Overview
The Pricing Manager is responsible for ensuring accurate pricing across all systems, conducting price modeling and analysis, and developing strategic pricing initiatives. This role oversees list pricing, customer tier factors, discount strategies, program pricing, and quote processes, while ensuring seamless ERP system management and compliance with Chase Corporation’s pricing policies. The Pricing Manager will also collaborate cross-functionally to support new product launches, price adjustments, and process improvements that drive efficiency and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
Pricing Strategy & Execution
- Develop and maintain pricing strategies, including list pricing, customer discounts, program pricing, and quote modeling.
- Implement price increases and new product pricing in alignment with business objectives.
- Work with Sales and Product teams to align customer pricing strategies with business goals.
Pricing Systems & Process Optimization
- Ensure 100% pricing accuracy in Oracle and external pricing lists.
- Lead ERP pricing updates, ensuring best-in-class processes for Oracle price management.
- Oversee compliance with pricing processes, tools, and internal controls across the organization.
Leadership & Team Management
- Manage, train, and develop team members to enhance productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, encouraging process optimization.
- Provide performance feedback and assign duties to maintain a high-performing team.
Data Analysis & Issue Resolution
- Conduct pricing analysis and modeling to support customer discount structures and program pricing.
- Utilize data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) to analyze pricing trends.
- Resolve pricing discrepancies and system issues in a timely manner.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Finance teams to align pricing strategies with market and customer needs.
- Ensure successful pricing implementation for new products and product launches.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of pricing experience or relevant work experience.
- Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across all levels.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, manage deadlines, and drive process improvements.
- Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP); Proficiency in data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Certified Pricing Professional (CPP) designation preferred
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, MBA preferred.
