Role Overview
The Product Commercialization Engineering Lead is responsible for transferring R&D-developed products or customer-requested changes to full-scale production, ensuring a seamless transition from our labs to high-volume manufacturing. This role focuses on process optimization, quality control, and cross-functional collaboration to scale production efficiently while maintaining quality and cost-effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Process Scale-Up & Optimization
- Design, refine, and implement scalable production processes that efficiently transition products from lab to high-volume manufacturing, ensuring quality and efficiency.
Data Analysis & Continuous Improvement
- Conduct scale-up trials, analyze process data, identify optimization opportunities, and document findings to drive continuous process enhancements.
Equipment & Process Modifications
- Develop and implement equipment upgrades or modifications to accommodate production scaling and validate their effectiveness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Supply Chain and Program Management teams to ensure seamless product transfer and alignment with production goals.
Cost & Compliance Management
- Identify cost-saving opportunities, improve operational efficiency, and ensure adherence to industry regulations and quality standards.
Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the organization in customer discussions, supporting product transitions and ensuring customer requirements are met.
Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience in product process scale-up, technology transfer, or manufacturing process engineering; 5 years of team leadership experience
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, process optimization, and scale-up principles.
- Experience with experimental design and data analysis; exceptional problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work across teams.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and quality standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree or MBA preferred).

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
