Chase Staffing is hiring for an Administrative Assistant in Roanoke, VA $15-$17 / HR!
This position se rves as the primary support person to help with all personnel. The assistant is the primary contact for foot traffic, phone calls, and general e-mails. They prepare electronic and print communications, maintain department / office and budget records, assist with appointments / schedules, coordinate meetings and minutes, manage office spaces, take care of equipment and supply needs, help with special events, handle internal and external mail, oversee travel and hotel logistics, and help with faculty contracts.
Required Qualifications :
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and multifunction printers
Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
Excellent organizational, time management, multitasking, detail, and accuracy skills
Abilities to work in a fast-paced environment with constant interruptions and fluctuating priorities and to meet deadlines
Abilities to work independently, as a member of a team, and without supervision at times
Ability to work effectively with all university constituencies including students and their families, faculty, staff, alumnae / i, and campus guests
Abilities to manage confidential and sensitive information and maintain discretion
Minimum of two years of relevant experience
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred candidates will have the following :
Two years of college
Previous experience in an administrative support role in higher education
Previous experience working in or managing a professional office setting
Ellucian Banner or equivalent database experience
