Key Responsibilities :
Operate CNC / EDM Machines : Set up, operate, and maintain EDM and CNC machines with precision, including tasks such as grinding.
Blueprint and Specification Understanding : Understand specifications by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings, and translating instructions into computer commands.
Machine Preparation and Operation : Prepare and load parts, set machines to complete full cycles, and supervise machine operations, making adjustments as needed.
Quality Assurance : Conduct test runs to ensure outputs meet specifications, inspect and measure finished products, and ensure processes are completed correctly.
Machine Maintenance : Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality and safety.
Team Collaboration : Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment and be available for overtime as needed to meet production demands.
Documentation : Accurately complete all required record-keeping tasks.
Qualifications :
Experience : Proven experience as a machine operator with 3 years of CNC / EDM machining experience preferred; experience in a manufacturing environment or completion of a training program is an advantage.
Skills : Proficiency in operating CNC / EDM machinery, tooling, and precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, comparators).
Technical Aptitude : Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings, with a basic understanding of computer programming and CAD / CAM software.
Attention to Detail : Keen eye for detail, good math skills, and a results-driven approach.
Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; a certificate or diploma in engineering or a relevant discipline is a plus. Completion of an apprenticeship is preferred but not required.
Interpersonal Skills : Strong communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work in a team-based environment.
