Position : Engineering Support Assistant Reports to : Manager of Design Department : Engineering / Design FLSA - DIRECT HIRE – GRAY COURT, SC
This person needs to have manufacturing experience – they build breakers – MUST have Microsoft excel experience - good written and verbal skills / SAP Experience. Working on change orders & recording materials.
Hours : 8am-5pm (M-F); however, they are flexible. Pay is $25.00
Job Summary : Responsible for coordinating and implementing engineering change orders, production change notices and master data tracking for engineering. Role involves a significant amount of interaction with other departments within the plant, Engineering, and suppliers. Duties and Responsibilities :
- Provide plant engineering change coordination (Engineering Change Notices).
- Coordinates the implementation of engineering changes (Engineering Change Orders).
- Provide administrative support to engineering staff members by scheduling meetings, taking notes, and updating databases.
- Coordinating communication between different departments within a company to facilitate projects and operations.
- Coordinates Material Disposition with Engineering Changes
- Interfacing with other departments and suppliers with regards to Material Disposition.
- Maintain Engineering Files.
- Maintain historical records of Bill of Material and Records of Production.
- Update Job tracking and Order Status on Schedule.
- Other administrative support, including ordering supplies and special projects.
- This is a position of coordination requiring attention to project instructions from engineers. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- Effective communication (written, verbal and presentation), organizational skills, and administrative skills.
- Intermediate level skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point software.
- Ability and willingness to foster and maintain an environment of mutual respect and professionalism.
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
- Strong time management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize and organize.
- Ability to take direction and escalate issues when appropriate.
- Ability to be flexible when presented with urgent or spontaneous requests from managers.
- Ability and willingness to interact and cooperate with all associates in a professional manner.
- Demonstrated aptitude for data critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- When necessary, may need to work overtime, including some Saturday work.
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Education and Experience :
- High School diploma or GED is required.
- 1- 2 years of experience working in SAP Software (Preferred).
- 1-2 years working in a manufacturing support role.
- Must have a valid driver’s license. Physical Demands :
