Job – Software Developer

Location: Long Beach, CA – Onsite (onsite interview required)

Duration: 12 Months

Summary:

The main function of a Developer is to design, develop, and implement applications using general languages and technologies (e.g., C#, C , HTML) to support business requirements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Analyze highly complex business requirements and generate technical specifications to design or redesign complex software components and applications.
• Act as an expert technical resource for modeling, simulation, and analysis efforts.
• Leverage industry best practices to design, test, implement, and support solutions.
• Ensure quality, security, and compliance requirements are met for the supported area.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (e.g., computer science, computer engineering, or related field) required.
• Experience: 2-4 years of experience in software development.
• Technical Skills:
• Development experience in languages such as C#, C , HTML, Python, JavaScript, SQL, MATLAB, MS Excel VBA.
• Hands-on experience in designing, developing, and successfully deploying large-scale projects from end-to-end.
• Experience with iterative and agile SDLC processes.
• Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, onboard diagnostics, and communication architectures (Automotive Knowledge).
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, debugging, and testing procedures.
• Experience with operating systems, text editing software, and database programming.
• Project Management Skills: Ability to manage projects from conceptualization to implementation.
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work in a multicultural environment and complex organizational structures.
• Analytical and Systems Engineering Knowledge:
• Experience or willingness to troubleshoot data-logger equipment and database systems.
• Analyze and evaluate problems, develop solutions, and identify root causes.
• Organization & Leadership Skills: Ability to organize workflows within the team and with external partners, especially with durability service suppliers.
• Soft Skills: Communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, time management, accountability, persistence, emotional intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in engineering design and development, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Master’s degree with an emphasis on Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering.

KPI:

• Implement customer requests based on analyst reports.
• Meet deadlines based on requests.

Typical Day in the Role:

• Coding: 90% of the role involves coding software tools and utilizing creativity.
• Meetings: 10% of the role involves meetings with the team and other departments.

Interaction with the Team:

• Contractor will be mentored initially to get up to speed with the team’s requirements.
• 5 hours of meetings per week with the team and other departments.

3. Excellent technical communication skills (oral, meetings, emails, phone calls).
