We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant General Manager to join our team at Chasing Aces, a premier golf entertainment venue within the heart of Shreveport. The Assistant General Manager will support the General Manager in overseeing all aspects of the venue’s operations, with a focus on Food and Beverage, ensuring exceptional customer experiences, and service excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Execute service standards ensuring that the same hospitality is experienced for each guest that walks through the doors.
- Resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction.
- Collect and analyze customer feedback to identify areas for improvement.
- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff, ensuring high levels of performance and ensure exceptional guest service by training the team in hospitality best practices.
- Directly oversee department members that may include, but is not limited to: Restaurant Manager, Catering Manager, Kitchen Manager, Host, Set-up Staff, Cooks, Servers, Bussers, Food Runners, and any other food and beverage associates.
- Manages and assists in the ordering of all alcohol beverages, maintains beverage pour cost, implements recipes and retail pricing of product.
- Works closely with the kitchen leadership to ensure food quality and consistency, and appropriate ticket times, labor and cost of sales.
- Assists in the completion of all month end inventories to include kitchen, bars, and beverage cart.
- Develop and manage staff schedules to ensure adequate coverage and optimal labor costs.
- Assist the General Manager in developing and managing the venue’s budget by providing operational insight into efficiencies opportunities that support achieving expense and profits targets.
- Oversee inventory control and front of house ordering processes, including beverage and service supplies.
- Develop cost control measures to maximize profitability.
- Monitors business volume forecast and plans accordingly in areas of labor, productivity, costs and other expenses.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a management role within the hospitality or entertainment and restaurant industry. A focus in beverage management is a plus.
- Proven track record of successfully managing a high-volume, hospitality-focused operation.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and inspire others.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Financial acumen, with experience reading financial reports and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Passion for hospitality and providing a stellar guest experience.
- Food Safety and Applicable Sanitation Training, Alcohol Awareness Training
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to meet the demands of the business.
- Frequently stands, walks, tastes, smells, talks, listens, uses hands, and reaches with hands and arms. Occasionally sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crawls or crouches. Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds.
- Limited travel for training, conferences, and meetings.
- Often works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather), near moving mechanical parts, near fumes or airborne particles, with toxic or caustic chemicals and in extreme heat or cold (non-weather). Noise level is moderate
