8am-4pm Monday-Friday
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the cleanliness and well-being of our furry friends. Responsibilities
- Provide gentle and safe animal restraint to prevent injury or escape- Provide exceptional customer service and maintain a positive and professional demeanor
- Bathing: Using proper knowledge to use the correct corresponding shampoo and conditioner per pet while providing comfortability and relaxation throughout the process
- Brushing: Using proper technique to detangle and remove matted hair
- Trimming: Clipping, shaving, trimming, or scissoring the coat to match breed standards or owner preference
- Styling: Having the proper breed standard knowledge to appropriately style the show standard trims or match owner preference
- Health Issue Identification: Being able to monitor and report any injuries or health concerns including skin conditions, parasites, or infections to the management team
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring grooming tools and equipment is thoroughly cleaned, disinfected, and in good working conditions at all times
- Records: Maintain accurate records of pet care, including bathing and grooming services
Skills:
- Proven experience in pet grooming is preferred; certification in pet grooming or veterinary assistance is a plus.
- Knowledge of animal behavior and restraint techniques
- Strong customer service skills and a willingness to work with pet owners
- Familiarity with basic pet grooming techniques
- Ability to lift and move pets safely and comfortably
- Basic knowledge of veterinary care and first aid procedures
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
