Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled RN to join our Cardiovascular Operating Room team. This role is integral to delivering exceptional nursing care aligned with the policies, procedures, and protocols of our esteemed healthcare organization. You will play a crucial role in the assessment, planning, and evaluation of patient care throughout the surgical process, ensuring optimal outcomes for our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, and evaluate the nursing care needs of patients before, during, and after surgical procedures.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients undergoing surgical interventions.
• Offer comfort and support to pre-operative patients, addressing their emotional and physical needs.
• Participate in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
• Execute physician orders with precision and administer prescribed medications.
• Assist physicians during surgical procedures while maintaining strict aseptic techniques.
• Ensure the operating room is coordinated in terms of sterility, cleanliness, and the availability of functioning equipment and supplies.
• Oversee the proper handling and documentation of specimens.
• Serve as the primary coordinator for multidisciplinary collaboration in patient care.
• Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions utilizing advanced computerized systems.
• Deliver age-appropriate and culturally competent care.
• Mentor and orient new staff members, contributing to a culture of learning.
• Adhere to Standard Precautions utilizing personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Current Florida RN License or recognized Compact License (subject to Florida State Licensing Requirements).
• A minimum of 2-3 years of recent acute care experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room setting.
• Valid BLS and ACLS certification.
• CNOR certification is preferred.
• Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing.

Compensation And Benefits

• Competitive salary range: Min \(31.98 - Mid \)39.97 - Max $47.96.
• Sign-On Bonus: $20,000.
