Key Responsibilities
- Participate in a structured schedule consisting of Monday through Friday, with 8-hour shifts totaling 40 hours per week, while also being available for weekend shifts during holiday periods.
- Engage in a preceptorship phase that includes three 12-hour shifts weekly, in accordance with your preceptor's schedule.
- Attend all mandatory program components, including resident seminars and presentations to bolster your professional development.
- Achieve essential certifications, including BLS, ACLS, CPI, EKG, NIH Stroke Scale, and Meditech Modules.
- Collaborate closely with a trained mentor to facilitate integration into the nursing culture and support ongoing learning.
- Complete an evidence-based poster presentation and develop skills to attain Charge Nurse and Preceptor competencies.
- Excellent self-motivation and a strong ability to communicate effectively.
- A collaborative mindset to work harmoniously within a healthcare team.
- Previous experience in a medical or service-oriented field is advantageous, but not mandatory.
- Recent graduates of an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months are encouraged to apply.
- Candidates should have no more than six months of RN experience, ideally with less than two months in a hospital setting.
- A current Florida RN license or appropriate compact licensure is required prior to the program start.
- Candidates demonstrating a genuine passion for patient care will be given preference.
