What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dirt Pit Operator position at Chastain Excavating?
Job Overview
We are seeking an individual to manage dirt distribution from our Evansville pit. Ideal candidate is willing to work 40 hours a week in the spring and fall seasons, and 50 hours a week in the summer season. Candidate may be asked to transition to other tasks in the winter season.
Responsibilities & Experience
- Push up dirt into stockpiles
- Service and Fuel equipment
- Load dirt into trucks for customers
- Keep meticulous documentation of outgoing dirt loads.
- Experience with dozers, excavators, and water pumps is required.
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Must be able to climb in and out of equipment regularly
- CDL is preferred but not required
Pay starts in $25 per hour but will be based on experience.
