What are the responsibilities and job description for the YOUTH/CHILD CARE WORKER position at Chastella Inc?
- Experience in a group home setting OR 12 college units in Child development/Psychology/Human Service related field, Or BA /BS degree in Human Service related field.
- Must be in good physical and emotional health
- Must have a valid California Driver's License and a good driving record
- Meet title 22 Personnel requirements regarding fingerprint and Child Abuse Clearance
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Willing to meet CPI and 1st Aid /CPR training requirements within the first 30 days of employment Duties and Responsibilities: (We train)
YOUTH CARE WORKER Responsibilities:
- Client intake inventory of items; responsible for the protection, care and supervision of residents at all times
- YOUTH CARE WORKER will provide transportation to and from school, Court, family visits, as well as specified appointments
- YOUTH CARE WORKER will be responsible for the implementation of treatment plans on a daily basis, prepare meals and assist with daily living skills of adolescents in a 24-hour Residential facility
- Medication dispensing with training
- Legal documentation (communication log, incident reports, daily program log)
- Report all pertinent information during shift changes ensure the cleanliness and safety of the facility
- Participate in staff training/ meetings
- Prepare and serve meals
- Initiate and supervise activities (community, study time, facility)
- Ensure facility structure, policies and procedures
- Make sure all vehicles are inspected after outings
- perform other duties as requested in order to maintain the safety and well-being of the residents in the program
- (Overnight Shift) YOUTH CARE WORKER must remain awake and alert throughout the night and maintain required documentation
- Routine room check every between 9p.m. and 6:00 a.m.
- Check food nightly for proper storage, date expiration
- Light Filing duties Morning wake-up routine and meal preparation
Salary : $17 - $21
