- Perform detailed clerical work for accepting and processing research and record requests, intaking license applications, and/or processing probate and guardianship filings.Â
- Use your communication and customer service skills as you interact with the public in challenging and emotional circumstances.Â
- Identify each customer's issue or problem and either assist in solving the problem or finding the proper Probate staff to address the issue.Â
- Interact with the public in person, on the phone, and by email.Â
- Work in a high-volume Court responsible for legal matters that impact upon minors, incapacitated adults, mental health patients, and families.Â
- Answer correspondence, input data, prepare documents, certify copies, and work on a team including judges.Â
- Maintain confidentiality and exercise good judgment.Â
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED, andÂ
- At least two (2) years of general clerical experience, including typing and filing; orÂ
- Any equivalent combination of training and experience.Â
- Must be experienced in learning new computer programs, Microsoft Office, and a 10-key calculator.Â
- Must be able to type a minimum of 25 words per minute. Selected candidates will be required to complete keyboarding and clerical testing during the interview process. Â
- Experience with email, database management programs, scanners, and printers.
