Under close supervision, you
- Perform various manual, unskilled duties of routine difficulty.
- Perform general maintenance and construction, grading ditches, clearing land, digging drainage ditches, and assisting with building manholes and headwalls.
- Lay asphalt, lay drainage pipes, and break up asphalt.
- Load and unload trucks, clear ditches, and pick up dry trash.
- Must be able to work nights and weekends in emergencies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Completion of eighth grade education or equivalent; and
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to follow instructions and perform sustained physical labor, including heavy lifting and use of hand tools.
- Must provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during regular working hours.
- Must be able to obtain a GA Safety Council Flagger’s license within one (1) year of employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
