Chatham County Fleet Operations is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Order Writer/Service Coordinator to manage our vehicle maintenance and repair needs. - Manages the daily workflow of vehicles, equipment maintenance, and service repairs.
- Coordinates the county preventive maintenance program, enforces schedule of preventive maintenance activities, and determines service intervals on all vehicles and equipment.
- Monitors outside vendor’s performance to ensure timely and satisfactory completion.
- Greets customers to receive and write up orders for repairs, monitors progress, and assures proper and timely completion.
- Ensures correct charges on work orders.
- Provides advice, guidance, and technical expertise to staff and customers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Associate Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Automotive Technology, Fleet Management, or a related field; and
- At least two (2) years of experience and/or training involving vehicle maintenance and repair shop administration, including experience using work order systems; or
- Any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Must be proficient in using computers and work order systems.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
