Summer Pool Manager – Chatham Fish & Game Protective Association
Chatham Fish & Game seeks a responsible and enthusiastic individual to manage our pool this summer! This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and experienced individual to oversee the daily operations of our busy pool and ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for our membership.
The pool is open for members from Memorial Day through Labor Day, 7 days a week (weather permitting).
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of pool operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining water quality, and ensuring the cleanliness and safety of the pool deck and surrounding areas.
- Supervise and schedule lifeguards, ensuring adequate coverage at all times. This includes training and performance evaluations.
- Enforce pool rules and regulations, addressing any violations promptly and professionally.
- Manage pool chemicals and maintain proper water balance, following all safety guidelines and regulations.
- Perform routine maintenance on pool equipment and report any necessary repairs to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate records of pool attendance, chemical levels, maintenance logs, and incident reports.
- Handle member inquiries and complaints courteously and efficiently.
- Coordinate and schedule pool activities and events.
- Ensure compliance with all local and state health and safety regulations.
- Respond to emergencies and administer first aid as needed.
· Support the execution of swim programs, events, and swim meets.
Qualifications:
- Certified Pool Operator or Pool Director Certification or ability to obtain same before employment.
- Current certification in American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer or American Heart Association HeartSaver.
- Previous experience as a Pool Manager or in a similar supervisory role preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of pool maintenance and chemical management.
- Knowledge of swimming programs, facilities, and events.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and emergencies calmly and effectively.
- Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Compensation and Schedule:
- Competitive hourly wage, references required
- Expected Hours: 35-40 per week (overtime may be available)
