Primary Responsibilities
- Teaching general chemistry, biochemistry I & II, an advanced biochemical techniques laboratory course, and other courses in the candidate's area of expertise that align with departmental teaching needs.
- Develop and maintain an active research program that ideally incorporates undergraduate and graduate (MS Biology) students.
- Additional responsibilities include participation in university and department events, committees, and academic advising, as needed.
- This position will report to the Chair of the Science Department and Dean of the School of Arts, Science and Business, and be responsible for carrying out assignments including:
- Teaching 18 credit hours/6 courses over 9 months.
- Engaging in research with an active scholarly agenda.
- Academic Advising to science majors.
- Participating in University and Department events and committees as needed.
- Completion of a PhD in biochemistry, chemistry, or a closely related field is required. ABD-PhD candidates with expected degree completion dates before September 2025 are encouraged to apply. Preference may be given to those individuals with college teaching and mentoring experience.
