POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
POSITION: Industrial Maintenance Instructor
QUICK LOOK:
- This position is a Full-time, 12-month faculty position.
- This instructor will join our fantastic Industrial Maintenance & Electrical Technology program and teach all IDSY and ELTR courses in the Associate Degree and Diploma in Industrial Maintenance & Electrical Technology.
- This person will be expected to deliver content to students and clients during traditional and non-traditional times, using traditional and non-traditional delivery methods.
- The Industrial Maintenance & Electrical faculty work together to meet department, division and college goals.
- In addition to teaching, Industrial Maintenance & Electrical Faculty members advise students, participate in recruiting activities, and maintain all instructional spaces (including labs).
- Prior teaching experience is a plus, but is not required!
- Primary Campus Assignment: North Metro Campus
- Employment is with the college and not a particular campus
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associate degree in Industrial Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field from a regionally accredited college or university.
· Extensive knowledge including safety requirements, mechanical fundamentals, blueprint reading, electrical fundamentals, motor controls, PLC, pneumatics/hydraulics systems and manufacturing automation
- Excellent written and oral communications skills along with excellent computer skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Electrical, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
- A minimum of three years industry experience in an industrial maintenance position or related field.
- Experience with CAD, 3D Mechanical Modeling, Engineering Graphics
- Experience training in a corporate/manufacturing setting
- Experience with online instruction in a postsecondary setting
SALARY/BENEFITS: Salary- $65,624 annually. Benefits include: paid holidays, annual leave, and the State of Georgia Flexible Benefits Program.
