Building Facility Tech

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Facilities Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various facility systems and equipment, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, customer service skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Other duties may be assigned that are in keeping with the goals and objectives of CARTA

· Must be able to diagnose, repair, and correct to completion any type of repairs needed for buildings, structures, and associated equipment

· Structural construction and repairs to buildings and associated equipment. Doors, interior trim, etc.

· Painting to include buildings and associated equipment

· HVAC basic knowledge a plus. Will be trained on various aspects as needed

· Routine and preventative maintenance of buildings, fixtures, and equipment

· Perform weekly and monthly inspections to ensure safety standards are met

· Complete documentation for work performed to establish compliance with safety goals

· Electrical experience is also a plus. Maintaining all wiring and lighting systems

QUALIFICATIONS

· Physical ability to lift and move various equipment, tools, and supplies

· Ability to read gauges, meters, etc. accurately and make diagnoses and repairs with minimal supervision

· A full set of hand tools is required to qualify and must be maintained upon award. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

· A minimum of a high school diploma, GED certificate, or equivalent

· Any combination of training, education and experience which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position

· Carpentry skills, hydraulic and pneumatic knowledge, metal fabrication, and welding would be a plus

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Must exercise extreme care while working on high voltage electrical components and utilize all safety tools at their disposal

· Must be able to withstand exposure to changing weather conditions, dust, engine fumes and extreme noise levels

· Must be able to access into tight areas when making building repairs

· Must be able to work neatly and clean up the area when repairs are completed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $29.34 per hour
