Chattanooga Charter School of Excellence (CCSE) is seeking compassionate and self-motivated individual with a specific interest in education! In this position, you will be responsible for supervising students, developing lesson plans, preparing lesson material, and maintaining classroom tidiness. You will also assist teachers with the day-to-day implementation of student learning activities and programs and carry out other duties as assigned by the principal to ensure effective and efficient supervision of students. Individuals with a passion for education and a desire to further their careers in this field, including the pursuit of a teaching certificate, are encouraged to apply!
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and teach daily instructions in a flexible, inclusive program that meets both the academic and functional needs of the students.
- Use a variety of instructional methodologies including learning styles, hands-on, and project-based opportunities to match the needs of each student.
- Create a classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity level and limitations of the students.
- Collaborate with other teachers on curriculum and classroom needs.
- Documenting student skill development and academic growth to assess short term and long-term academic goal achievement.
- Communicates respectfully and thoughtfully with parents/ guardians, remaining sensitive to different families’ cultures, values and needs.
- Demonstrates a passion for student well-being and academic success!
