Position Summary:
Chattanooga College Medical Dental and Technical Careers is seeking an experienced and dedicated Director of the Radiologic Technology Program. This leadership role requires full oversight of the hybrid program, including curriculum development, faculty management, and ensuring compliance with accreditation standards. The Director will play a key role in preparing students for successful careers in radiologic technology by providing a high-quality educational experience and fostering strong partnerships with clinical sites. This role reports to Dean of Health Science Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Oversight & Development:
- Lead the overall management and administration of the Radiologic Technology Program, ensuring it meets or exceeds industry and accreditation standards.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive curriculum that aligns with current radiologic technology practices and hybrid learning modalities.
- Incorporate new technologies and teaching methodologies to enhance the hybrid learning experience for students.
Faculty Management:
- Recruit, hire, and train qualified faculty to deliver a high-quality educational experience.
- Conduct faculty evaluations, provide feedback, and promote professional development opportunities.
- Create a collaborative and supportive environment for faculty that encourages innovation and continuous improvement.
Accreditation & Compliance:
- Ensure full compliance with all accreditation standards and guidelines (e.g., Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology - JRCERT).
- Lead the program's accreditation and reaccreditation processes, including preparing documentation and managing site visits.
- Stay current with regulatory changes in radiologic technology education and ensure program adherence to updated standards.
Student Engagement & Success:
- Oversee student recruitment, retention, and academic progress to ensure program completion and post-graduation success.
- Monitor student performance and provide guidance or interventions as needed to maintain high graduation and certification pass rates.
- Maintain strong relationships with clinical affiliates, ensuring students receive a high-quality clinical education experience.
Community & Industry Relations:
- Establish and maintain partnerships with healthcare organizations, hospitals, and clinical sites for student clinical placements and job opportunities.
- Represent the program at professional events and industry conferences to promote Chattanooga College and its radiologic technology program.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure the program's growth and alignment with institutional goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in radiologic technology, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience in higher education, particularly in program management and hybrid or online teaching.
- Demonstrated success with accreditation processes (e.g., JRCERT) is highly desirable.

Pay: $93,000.00 - $97,500.00 per year
