MERCHANDISE MANAGER
Join the most fun team in town! The Chattanooga Lookouts are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our front office staff as we play our final season at AT&T Field and move to a brand-new ballpark in 2026. The Merchandise Manager is a full-time position with benefits and will be a part of the Chattanooga Lookouts team. Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Order all merchandise to be sold in the Team Store and online.
- Communicate with staff and departments regarding the status of merchandise shipments.
- Monitor inventory of assigned merchandise to ensure that stock is available to provide timely and efficient service.
- Track movement and delivery of anticipated merchandise inventory using websites, applications or inventory systems.
- Hire and manage part-time gameday staff.
- Facilitate paperwork and record keeping required for merchandise and maintains records for all financial accounting.
- Maintain store front and stock room.
- Manage all aspects of Team’s online store including fulfillment of online orders.
- Attend and contribute to monthly MiLB calls and seminars to gain and share insights from and with other clubs.
- Produce weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Perform duties typically associated with a career in baseball or professional sports, including but not limited to: pulling tarp and maintaining office hours consistent with the organization during the season and off-season.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Applicant must have relevant retail, merchandising and inventory experience with high-volume branded property. Must be willing to work nights, weekends and holidays as required in the sport industry. Strong interpersonal skills are mandatory to interact and solve problems with customers, co-workers, employees and vendors.
Salary is commensurate with experience and includes a base salary and benefits including employer sponsored health benefits and company 401K retirement plan.
The applicant should be a self-motivator who thrives in a team environment; possesses good analytical, interpersonal, and excellent customer service skills; ability to work effectively with attention to detail in a high-volume sales environment; ability to communicate clearly and resolve guest conflicts; goal oriented; quick learner; proficient in Microsoft Office, and able to lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
