Summary: The Preconstruction Manager will play a crucial role between our clients and our design/project teams, ensuring smooth communication, understanding of client needs, and successful project outcomes. They will assist in helping bring the client’s vision to life, so demonstrated experience in home construction and affiliated costs is a must. They should have a strong background in account management, excellent communication skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Build and maintain strong relationships with pre-construction clients using the company CRM to track communication, updates, and project milestones
· Qualify potential construction clients by evaluating their alignment with company values, project requirements, and construction capabilities
· Oversee pre-construction tasks such as septic permitting, plan submissions, and surveyor coordination to ensure timely project advancement
· Schedule and conduct pre-construction meetings (qualification, intake, estimate, and contract) with clients
· Guide clients through the home-building process, setting clear expectations and addressing concerns promptly
· Develop comprehensive project specifications, including timelines, budgets, scope of work, and resource allocation
· Effectively read and interpret blueprints to aid in discussions with clients and project teams
· Coordinate seamlessly with design and building teams to ensure smooth project flow
· Possess a strong understanding of home construction principles and processes, with the patience and adaptability to navigate timeline and completion challenges
Requirements
· Expert understanding of residential home construction stages and science
· Minimum of 5 years in Project Management, Sales, or Account Management within the residential construction or related industry
· Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Science, or Architecture preferred
· Excellent interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills
· Broad knowledge of interior design, architecture, and its components
· Proven ability to manage multiple client projects simultaneously
· Experience in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite
