Job Description:
Title Searcher. FT. Benefits. $19.50-$20.50/Hour. Research public real estate records of both paper and computer images and compile title searches of abstracted deeds, mortgages, and other legal documents for use by attorneys representing sellers and purchasers of real estate, banks and other mortgage lenders. Perform the official recording of closing documents with the County Clerk's Office. Communicate with attorneys, legal assistants, and County staff.
Hours:
Onsite work Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 4:00, 37.5 hours per week.
Skills required:
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and math skills. Ability to learn, memorize, and use legal details and concepts. Ability to read and follow a focused, logical path based on legal rules and established procedures. Computer skills and knowledge are key requirements. Aptitude to learn to read survey maps and legal documents and draw maps of property descriptions. Ability to focus and avoid distraction in a public area. Capable of working both independently and as a team player. At times, heavy lifting of public records is required.
