PART TIME
DELIVERY DRIVER
Delivers library materials, such as books and DVDs; inter office mail, supplies, and occasionally computers or other equipment and furniture to our 36 public libraries in the Chautauqua and Cattaraugus Counties.
Key Responsibilities / Functions :
Load the delivery vehicle with the packed library materials and
Follow a designated route, making 13-16 stops in one day to public libraries, nursing homes, and other senior facilities
Sort library materials, return materials to the system, and unload the truck
Unpack and pack delivery for next day, as needed
Does minor vehicle maintenance and repairs as needed
Inspect and report any vehicle defects to Supervisor for repair
Assist in training new delivery drivers
Follow keys and security alarm procedures
Secure buildings upon departure and report problems as appropriate
Performs other related duties as required or as assigned
Accurate, dependable, responsible, while working independently, with minimal supervision

Qualifications and Skills Required :
Must have a clean NYS driver's license
Physically able to lift and carry up to 40-50 lbs
Strong customer service skills
