Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Planning: Collaborate with the Administrator and consultants to set goals and priorities for the department.
- Team Management: Supervise and evaluate culinary staff, providing coaching, feedback, and support to maintain high morale and productivity.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular food service reviews and test trays to ensure quality, appearance, and adherence to dietary needs.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and facility standards.
- Resident-Centered Care: Coordinate with other care services to meet residents’ dietary and nutritional needs proactively.
- Sanitation & Safety: Uphold a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment.
- Recruitment & Training: Manage staffing needs, including hiring, orientation, and ongoing education, to build a strong, skilled team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a Certified Dietary Manager, Chef or current Food Service Director with at least 2 years’ experience in the position and in good standing with all applicable federal and state requirements or in training to satisfactorily complete the requirements to become a Certified Dietary Manager, or Chef.
- Food service management experience preferred, who have completed a minimum course study of food safety.
- Must be Serv-Safe certified or credentialed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Completion of secondary education or otherwise show ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance as required.
- Must meet all local health regulations and pass post-employment exam, if required.
- Must be able to work weekends and holidays as directed by the Administrator.
- Must be able to perform basic computer operations.
