Our Company: Chauvin Arnoux, Inc. d/b/a AEMC Instruments: We are a well-established world-leader in test and measurement instrumentation. We design and manufacture professional electrical test and measurement instruments for the industrial, commercial and utility marketplace. Specifically, our full product line includes clamp-on meters, transformer ratiometers, power quality meters, harmonic power meters, data loggers, megohmmeter, ground testers, oscilloscopes, cable testers, thermal cameras and numerous other electrical test instruments.
Primary Purpose: Our headquarters in Dover, NH seeks an individual whose primary purpose is to repair and calibrate electrical test and measurement instruments and to provide in-house technical product support.
Essential Functions: Electronic Repair Lab Technician IV
- Troubleshoot customer repairs to the board level with precision and efficiency.
- Calibrate customer instruments in compliance with NIST standards.
- Provide technical product support and guidance to other repair lab technicians.
- Review and analyze repair and calibration manuals; propose necessary corrections or updates.
- Communicate directly with customers regarding repair and calibration statuses, promptly addressing concerns.
- Support Engineering by performing specialized tests as requested.
- Maintain lab equipment to ensure it remains current and within calibration standards.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance repair and calibration workflows.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirement:
- Education and Experience: Associates degree in Electronics or equivalent, with 5–7 years of hands-on experience in a similar manufacturing or lab environment.
- Technical Skills: 1) Skilled in soldering and reworking electronic assemblies, including all SMT components. 2) Proficiency in reading and interpreting electronic schematics to analyze circuit flow. 3) Familiarity with commonly used lab testing equipment, including DMMs, oscilloscopes, power supplies, multi-function calibrators, and function generators.
- Software Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Communication: Ability to communicate verbally and in writing with technical and non-technical audiences.
