Our Company: Chauvin Arnoux, Inc. d/b/a AEMC Instruments: We are a well-established world-leader in test and measurement instrumentation. We design and manufacture professional electrical test and measurement instruments for the industrial, commercial and utility marketplace. Specifically, our full product line includes clamp-on meters, transformer ratiometers, power quality meters, harmonic power meters, data loggers, megohmmeter, ground testers, oscilloscopes, cable testers, thermal cameras and numerous other electrical test instruments.

Primary Purpose: Our headquarters in Dover, NH is seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Product Manager to lead product strategy, development, and marketing initiatives for our portfolio of electrical test and measurement instruments. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and customer-centric insight to drive product innovation, market positioning, and business growth. The Product Manager will act as the subject matter expert and customer advocate, collaborating across engineering, marketing, and sales teams to ensure market-leading solutions.

Essential Functions:

Product Management

  • Subject Matter Expertise: Become a subject matter expert on AEMC® Instruments test and measurement products and CA Energy products.
  • Market and Competitive Analysis: Conduct in-depth competitive and industry research to identify trends, customer needs, and market opportunities, advocating for the customer.
  • Performance Metrics: Establish product KPIs, monitor performance, and recommend data-driven improvements.
  • Product Lifecycle Management: Oversee the entire product lifecycle from ideation through launch and end-of-life planning.
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and quality assurance teams in the U.S. and France to deliver high-quality products.
  • Product Roadmaps: Develop and communicate detailed product roadmaps aligned with company objectives.

Content Development and Review

  • Technical Content Creation: Develop application notes, white papers, and case studies to build a resource library for distributors and end users.
  • Marketing Material Support: Provide product expertise for user manuals, brochures, catalogs, datasheets, and other technical documents.
  • Video Content:
  • Identify engaging video topics to increase product visibility and YouTube channel engagement.
  • Assist in creating video scripts, ensuring technical accuracy.
  • Participate in video production as an on-camera expert when appropriate.

Training and Support

  • Technical Training: Participate in and conduct technical training webinars and discussions on topics including Ground Resistance Testing, Power Quality Analysis, and Insulation Resistance Testing.
  • Assist with developing training objectives for diverse audiences and deliver presentations ranging from 4 to 8 hours.
  • Assist with comprehensive training programs, including outlines, handouts, tests, and field exercises.
  • Sales Team Training: Train the sales team on product features and competitive advantages.
  • Develop battle cards for internal use and competitive product comparisons.
  • Create impactful product presentations for internal teams and distributors.
  • Distributor Training: Provide in-depth product training for authorized distributors.

Trade Show Engagement

  • Technical Presentations: Deliver product demonstrations and technical presentations at trade shows.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Attend trade shows to enhance expertise and training insights.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related technical field.
  • Proven experience in product management, preferably in test and measurement or electrical equipment industries.
  • Exceptional technical writing skills with demonstrated experience creating technical content of application notes, white papers, or similar documents.
  • Knowledge of electrical testing concepts and equipment, including power quality, insulation resistance, and ground resistance testing.
  • Exceptional research and analytical skills to perform market and competitive analysis.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with experience translating technical details into customer-centric messaging.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in using project management and CRM tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working in the electrical engineering or energy sector.
  • Familiarity with regulatory standards such as NFPA 70B, IEC, or IEEE.

Work Environment
Collaborative role engaging with marketing, sales, and engineering teams in a hybrid remote work environment. Requires one week per month at the Dover, NH office until fully acclimated. Involves travel for industry events, tradeshows, visits to distributor and customer sites, and home office visits to assist with video production.
