Position Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Journeyman-Level Collision Repair Technician with 5 years of journeyman-level experience in a high-volume, DRP-driven shop environment. The ideal candidate will have proven expertise in performing auto body repairs, including diagnostics, frame straightening, painting, and completing repairs with precision and efficiency. As an essential part of our team, you will be expected to meet high standards for customer satisfaction and work collaboratively to achieve daily production goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform collision repairs, including frame straightening, metal repair, and refinishing, to manufacturer and industry standards.
- Flag 80-100 hours per week in a production-driven environment.
- Follow all safety protocols and company procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
- Review repair orders and customer needs to assess repair requirements.
- Coordinate with other technicians, service advisors, and parts department to ensure smooth workflow.
- Maintain excellent communication with management and customers throughout the repair process.
- Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to shop cleanliness and maintenance standards.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience as an Automotive Collision Repair Technician (Journeyman level).
- Proven track record in a production, DRP-driven shop environment.
- Ability to consistently flag 80-100 hours per week in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong knowledge of collision repair techniques, including frame repair, metalwork, and refinishing.
- Certification(s) such as I-CAR, ASE, or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret repair orders, diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
- Strong references from previous employers or colleagues.
- Willingness to relocate to Alaska and adapt to a new working environment.
