Cookeville Heating & Cooling Services, LLC, established in 1969, provides Commercial HVAC Services & Controls for large and small commercial, industrial and healthcare projects in the Middle Tennessee area. Summary of Duties
The Parts Procurement Clerk assures all product and inventory purchasing is conducted on a timely basis and timely communication is received from the vendor/manufacturer.
This position requires a detail-oriented professional who prides themselves in accuracy, organization, and efficiency.
The Parts Procurement Clerk reports to the Operations Manager.
Representative duties include:
- Team Player
- Positive Attitude – Smile on face and “in voice”, pleasant demeanor, responsive to all internal communications.
- Place daily orders for required parts/materials through our purchasing software and communicate ETA’s accordingly.
- Identify changes to purchase orders and communicate those changes to vendors and internal staff accordingly.
- Track critical inbound shipments to ensure installation/repair schedule needs are met.
- Receive Shipments (Use of a pallet jack and/or forklift may be required.)
- Check in parts after shipments are received and label for appropriate jobs.
- Report any non-conforming deliveries to management and follow up on any corrective actions required of the vendor.
- Monitor vendor prices and notify management when increases occur.
- Maintain Warehouse
- Maintain Inventory Cabinets/Restock as Necessary
- Check company tools in/out.
2. Job Qualifications
- Must be able to follow directions.
- Must have a knowledge of HVAC parts and pieces.
- Must be able to work well with others.
- Must have a good understanding of basic math.
- Must possess a mechanical aptitude and be able to learn/understand the various parts/pieces required to ensure customer’s needs are met.
- Must be proficient in basic computer skills and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have a sense of urgency.
- Must possess the ability to analyze data and present to management.
- Must have strong organization skills
- Must possess strong time management skills
- Must possess a high school diploma.
Physically, workers must be able to:
- Use arms and hands to reach for, handle and manipulate objects.
- Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Possess good vision (either naturally or with correction).
