What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinician - (Assessment Clinician) Masters Level position at CHD Brand?
CHD's Juvenile Justice Program has an immediate need for a Master’s level licensed or license eligible Assessment Clinician. The Assessment Clinician role will require some travel to Massachusetts detention facilities to meet with youth intakes. This is an exciting opportunity to gain juvenile justice experience while ensuring that every youth is given a second chance for a better life. Responsibilities include: individual and group therapy, completing intakes, case management, and maintaining contact with appropriate collaterals. Strong individual and group clinical supervision provided. Contracted, salaried, full-time and part-time candidates encouraged to apply. Flexibility to be able to work evening and weekend hours is preferred.
Hired Clinicians must complete required 2-week training program that is offsite in Grafton, MA. And 1 week training in Springfield, MA. The three weeks are full 8-hour days and is a requirement of the role, non-negotiable.
YOUR ROLE AS A master’s level licensed or license eligible clinician:
Join our team at CHD where you will play a crucial role as a member of the program administrative team. In the Assessment Clinician role, you will:
- Interact with staff and residents; ensure the coordinated efforts of all treatment components.
- Ensure program compliance with documentation and other clinically related licensing requirements.
- Support the philosophy of the agency and the program in all interactions with staff, residents, parents, and outside agencies.
- Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with other clinicians, state agencies, DYS, Community health and other referral agencies.
- Will work in both Hardware Secured and Staff Secured facilities.
Success factors:
To excel as an Assessment Clinician with CHD, you'll need a diverse skill set. Experience with individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, substance abuse, DBT, CBT and motivational interviewing is preferred. Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or related field. A current professional license LCSW, LICSW, LMHC preferred or license eligible. Extensive experience working with troubled and learning disordered adolescents. Extensive experience in an involuntary residential/secure setting required. Bilingual individuals are encouraged to apply. The ideal candidate will demonstrate patience, caring and compassion with the ability to perform well under stress and in crisis situations. Additionally, strong written and assessment skills are required.
