What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Adolescent Treatment Program Director/Juvenile Justice position at CHD Brand?
The Center for Human Development, (CHD) is seeking a Program Director to join the team at our Community Adolescent Treatment Program (CATP) located in Springfield, MA. The Program Director provides administrative leadership, direction, and oversight for a short-term, secure residential treatment program for male participants who are committed to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Department of Youth Services. The Community Adolescent Treatment Program helps young men, aged 12 to 21, make a successful transition back to their home community.
Your role as a Program Director:
The Director is responsible for hiring, training, budget development/monitoring and maintenance of relationships with regional and state funding sources. The Director is also responsible for the oversight of all program operations including compliance with licensing and accrediting organizations, program design, treatment planning and the safety and security of youth in our care. The Program Director will directly supervise all management personnel to include the Assistant Director and Clinical Director. The Program Director will also monitor the adherence to the program's treatment philosophy.
Requirements:
Extensive experience working with youth in a fast past residential environment. Bachelor’s Degree or supervisory experience in human service related field preferred. The optimal candidate will demonstrate a commitment and enthusiasm for the mission, goals and objectives of the agency, as well as demonstrated experience in managing complex budgets, personnel issues, and service delivery needs of clients. Valid Massachusetts driver’s license and vehicle required for employment use, as needed. Must be able to complete extensive background check.

The Program Director will have a flexible schedule but will primarily work weekdays. The Program Director will also participate on a team to provide the program with a 24-hour, 7-day a week emergency on-call response when needed.
