The Center for Human Development (CHD) is seeking a Credentialing Coordinator to join our team! The Credentialing Coordinator is the main resource for the internal credentialing and payer enrollments processes.
Your responsibilities as a Credentialing Coordinator:
The Credentialing Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison for provider and facility credentialing, ensuring accuracy and timely updates between internal clinical staff and external entities. They will manage all aspects of the credentialing and enrollment process, including initial applications, re-credentialing, and maintenance of provider profiles with payers.
REQUIRMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business administration, or a related field (preferred)
- Relevant professional certification (e.g., CPCS, CPMSM) is highly desirable
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in provider credentialing and enrollment within a healthcare setting. (Preferably behavioral health & medical)
- Demonstrated experience with payer contracting and enrollment processes.
- Proven experience navigating payer websites, CAQH, PECOS, NPPES, Virtual Gateway, and other relevant platforms.
- Strong understanding of credentialing regulations and standards
SUCCESS FACTORS:
The ideal Credentialing Coordinator will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. With strong organizational and time management skills. A proficiency in EHR systems. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will be detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy. Problem-solving and strong critical-thinking skills are a must. Lastly the ability to interact effectively with other departments and key contacts necessary to facilitate billing process.
