Job Overview :

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Checkbook, you'll be the captain of code, steering the ship of our web applications with Postgres, Python and a cast of frontend libraries as your crew. Together, we'll conquer the fintech seas and unlock the secrets of modern payments.

Responsibilities :

  • Develop and architect exceptional web applications that exceed industry standards and captivate users
  • Build and ship robust APIs, integrating with internal, partner and customer systems
  • Ensure the security and integrity of our applications, safeguarding our users' valuable information
  • Design and optimize large DB schemas, queries and objects to meet performance and functionality objectives
  • Develop and implement automation tools and strategies to ensure the quality and stability of our web applications
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest web technologies, industry trends, and best practices

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related discipline
  • 5 years of experience working with Python, Postgres and frontend frameworks (e.g. React, Angular, Vue.js, Ember) to build robust web applications
  • Familiarity with Python web frameworks including Flask, FastAPI and Django
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective software solutions
  • Excellent problem-solving skills to tackle challenges and find creative solutions
  • A background in fintech is a plus, but not required
  • Bonus points if you have experience in the payments space
